ANSYS® CFX is the chosen platform for
detailed Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses within
the PDL organisation.

Roof Vent - Air flow and water penetration - Multi-phase CFD analyses

CFD analyses are used to simulate air, fluid
or heat flow in or around a given assembly.
This simulation can be applied to a number
of varied scenarios ranging from the detailed analysis of
air through jet engines, fluid flow through pumps, or heat
transfer in HVAC systems to name but a few.
The integration of the whole ANSYS® capability
within the Pro|ENGINEER® environment allows for full structural,
mechanical and CFD interrogation of any given part or assembly
as the design evolves.
This iterative design and analysis
methodology mitigates risk and ensures a holistic view is
applied to any given scenario, i.e., the effect of a change
in part design for apparent structural reasons can be assessed
in relation to its subsequent effect on air, fluid or heat
flow.
