for the detailed 3D engineering design and visualisation
of complex structures, including
full clash detection capability, tolerance analysis
investigation, and detailed mechanism simulation.
Once the 3D CAD models are created,
or
indeed received from our customer’s own CAD systems,
our extensive linear, non-linear and dynamic FEA capabilities
allows for even the most demanding structural loading
conditions
to be replicated in a virtual offshore environment.

FEA - Blast and survivability assessment |
Our FEA capabilities include full structural,
fatigue and vibration analyses under static or dynamic loading
conditions for any given temperature or load duration. Our
ANSYS® LS-DYNA™ capability allows us to simulate
even short-term limited duration events such as a collision,
impact or a catastrophic failure and the recent addition of
ANSYS® AutoDYN™ brings full penetration, explicit
explosion simulation and survivability capability into the
fold.
The company continues to pioneer the use
of computational fluid dynamics to simulate fluid, heat and
air flow, and through the recent addition of the ANSYS®
CFX software, our CFD capability now extends to modelling
multi-phase scenarios such as fire, smoke and heat transfer
in and around any given assembly.
Our engineers work in a way so as to complement
our offshore customer’s own design and engineering resources
in a cost-effective manner and are fully conversant with most
if not all of the conventional offshore design codes.
