Almost four months to the day after the initial pre-audit assessment, BSI Management Systems external auditors returned to PDL to complete the official ISO 9001:2000 assessment audit of the quality management system. The detailed audit did not raise any major non-conformity issues and the company has been recommended for registration to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
The fact that we have designed, developed and implemented a fully accredited quality management system in 6 months is testimony to the fact that every single employee signed up to the benefits of having such a QMS in the first instance, and approached the role-out and implementation phase with such vigour and enthusiasm. For us this is the starting point. It now gives us a structured platform to further improve our business processes that will benefit our customers, suppliers and fellow employees alike.
