PDL News and Events

Michael Shanley, Vice President Asia, of PDL Solutions (Asia) will be attending one of the biggest Oil & Gas exhibitions in the Asia region - Oil and Gas Asia (OGA 2017). From the 11th to the 13th of July, the prestigious event will bring together 23,000 trade visitors and over 1000 exhibitors to the vibrant capital city of Malaysia. As the regional hub for Oil and Gas, Kuala Lumpur provides an excellent platform to network, share knowledge and present new innovations to the industry.

It is predicted that South East Asia will see its largest ever percentage of growth for oil and gas in the next coming years, with energy being a huge driving factor. Malaysia, in particular, is forecast to see a 5 percent annual growth from the Oil, Gas and Energy Sector over the next 3 years. For Malaysia to realise this potential, there will be more focus on Deepwater exploration and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) of mature fields, where the latest innovations, technologies, and smart engineering methodologies will be crucial to overcoming the challenges such as High-Pressure High-Temperature (HPHT) conditions.

At PDL we have built a proven track record around HPHT. By applying our capabilities in FEA, we support clients in the validation and optimisation of their HPHT equipment to stringent codes such as API 17TR8. As analysis experts in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Engineering Design (CAD), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Global Dynamic Analysis, we harness our proficiency in these tools to deliver value-adding engineering support in the design of innovative technology.
