PDL's Vice President, Rob Campbell and Global Sales director, Carl Rudd are to attend the Marine Technology Society's lunch time presentation; WILLIAMS' GULFSTAR ONE FPS given by Nathan Davidson, Williams. Davidson will outline Williams' strategy with the Gulfstar FPS.

The Gulfstar One FPS is a SPAR Floating Production System located in Mississippi Canyon Block 724, in approximately 4,300 feet of water, 135 miles southeast of New Orleans. 

It serves as a hub that aggregates production and then combines production handling services with oil and gas export pipeline services, which feed Williams’ downstream oil and gas gathering and processing services on the Gulf Coast.

The FPS has a production handling capacity of 60,000 BOPD, 132 MMSCFD, 50,000 BWPD (produced water) and 60,000 BWPD (water injection) and began handling production from Hess and Chevron’s Tubular Bells Development in November 2014. The FPS will also serve as host for Noble Energy’s Gunflint Development, and engineering for a brownfield expansion is currently underway.   

Major components of Gulfstar One were built entirely in the United States, creating approximately 7,000 direct and indirect domestic jobs. Gulf Marine Fabricators built the hull in Ingleside, Texas, and Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. constructed the topsides in Houma, La.
