PDL’s, Managing Director, Michael Williams is to attend the LLW Repository Ltd Supplier Engagement Session at Energus on Wednesday 3rd February to find out about their adoption of a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).
LLW states that ‘The organisation needs access to a wide range of professional services, primarily in functional support areas, to support the business and it is believed that the best way to provide this type of support is through the use of a DPS.
A DPS is an electronic system allowing public purchasers to consult a large number of potential suppliers of standardised works, supplies or services, whose capabilities have already been verified.’
PDL provide advanced engineering design and analysis to safety critical industries and mission critical projects worldwide. We have an extensive track record of providing analytical and calculation support to the Nuclear industry and look forward to continuing that work over the coming years through Decommissioning, Life Extension and New Build projects.
We have recently become members of The National Skills Academy Nuclear and were awarded our certificate on Friday 29th January by Liz Hearnden.
Michael Williams comments, ‘As a company committed to developing our engineers, firstly through a Monitored Professional Development Scheme (MPDS) and secondly by maintaining our Continuous Professional Development (CPD), we are very pleased to work with NSAN and the training network to ensure we keep our people at the leading edge of the industry. Through the Triple Bar programme, we are seeking to ensure our Developing Engineers gain a broad understanding of the challenges, culture and terminology associated with the nuclear industry and, ultimately, gain the experience required to be deemed as ‘Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel’.
